Dad’s Baked Oatmeal Recipe
Every Sunday, for as long as I can remember, he would get up and put this in the oven for our breakfast. We would scoop out a piece, pour milk over it in a bowl, and eat it like cereal. Delicious!
Warm for Sunday morning, and then the leftovers were just as good cold on Monday.
Simple French Toast Recipe
Weekend projects, laundry, and saving the house from the busy week. Saturdays are full!
At least now you have an idea for breakfast 🙂
French toast is one of my favorite weekend breakfasts. I love that it is simple and quick to whip up, it keeps the kids full ‘til lunch (no scrounging for snacks when you need to be picking up), and it feeds them a wholesome meal without reaching for the cereal 🙂
Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
Have you grabbed a big bowl of ice cream only to feel awful after eating it?
My girls ask for ice cream all the time, but when it looks almost the same going in as it does during the diaper change later, I hate to feed it to them! It doesn’t seem to even digest on the way through!
Then I discovered homemade ice cream. Real milk, real cream, and nothing I can’t pronounce!
BBQ Meatballs
When Tim and I were first married, I tried to make meatballs for him. I didn’t realize that I needed to season the meat before making it into balls. So we ate bland meatballs smothered in ketchup. I’ve come a long way since then!
Here’s my family’s all time favorite meatball recipe!
Sweet Cinnamon Biscuits
There’s nothing like a snow day for a little baking!
Bekah got up this morning and yelled, “No (snow), Mommy! ‘No!” We quickly agreed that today we should make cinnamon rolls 🙂
I love this no-rise recipe! So much easier to mix up the dough, roll it out, and pop it into the oven.
