November’s Blessings

I find it so easy to rush head long from one month right into the next. Do you?

Laundry calls, someone needs their nose wiped, and suddenly another month has closed and I hardly stop to take notice.

I know November/Thanksgiving is usually when we try to stop and appreciate the little things, but I want to pause more often and look back with gratitude.

So here are some of my blessings this month:

Tim and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. There has been so many adventures over five years — changing jobs, two girls, a cross country move, and many more, but I get to do it every day with my best friend. Tim is amazing. He works two jobs to keep us going, but still comes home and plays with the girls so I can get the dishes done. He keeps me grounded and moving forward. I have learned so much from him. I am so blessed!

We got to go help Tim with milking a couple of times this month. I miss being hands on with the cows and it is always a treat when we can do it together. Apple was very patient with the girls and obliged Eva by eating the hay she was bringing :)

Cindy, Charlotte, and Nikki came to us from a friend. They really are sweet girls and have fit in well.

We got a cream separator! They come in about a bazillion tiny pieces, but thanks to Youtube University and a mechanical husband, it was not match for us :)

(Since you are probably wondering, we will be offering cream in the future. Still working through the learning curve of cream thickness and waiting on containers. Join our email list to hear when it is available.)

We got a manure spreader, so we can spread compost on the fields to aid in soil fertility and grass growth. It’s a cute little thing, especially behind Pa’s tractor :)

Tim and I have been talking about how helpful a little tractor would be on the farm, we just didn’t want to shell out the money for one. This tractor was gifted to us by an acquaintance that just happened to be talking to Tim about needs we had on the farm. We were absolutely stunned and thrilled. My sister called it a “God hug” and I couldn’t agree more!

Kansas sunsets take my breath away. I wish my phone did it justice!

There are so many other things that I am grateful for and blessed by this month! It really changes my focus to stop and see how God has blessed us in just 30 short days. He is good!

What about you? What is one thing you are grateful for from this past month? Put it in the comment section down below.
